Submissions Open
Ideal submission length is 3–4 minutes (with a hard cap of 7 minutes). While we’ve made exceptions in the past, the night flows best when shorts stay on the shorter side. There’s no official rating requirement, but we strongly encourage creators to aim for a PG-13 tone when possible -- overly sexual or excessively graphic content has caused audience walkouts in the past.

Above all, we aim to keep the overall spirit of the night playful, good-natured, and inclusive. While edgy or experimental comedy is welcome, pieces built primarily around singling people out or putting others down can shift the energy of the room away from the shared fun we’re trying to create. We encourage creators to aim for laughs that bring the audience together rather than divide it.

Submissions should be comedies at their core, rather than dramas or horror pieces with occasional jokes. Visually, your film doesn’t need high-end production value, but clear, clean audio is essential, and dialogue should be easy to understand. We also ask that each short have a clear narrative -- with characters and a story audiences can follow. Stand-up sets, compilation videos, or projects that are so abstract there’s no discernible story generally aren’t a good fit.

If your film is selected, we’ll work with you to obtain high-resolution video files so your work can be shown in the best possible light. Submissions accepted up to 2 weeks prior to festival.
